Hurray, we did it!!

We’ve been dreaming of launching a new company that is fully dedicated to promoting other indie sellers.  Artists, crafters, designers and other independent entrepreneurs like us who sell handmade, vintage, or limited goods. This idea’s been on the drawing board for a while, but we did our homework and now we’re finally ready to launch it.

We cordially invite you to visit our new site: LuellaLuella.com

If you’r an artist or designer, or just love handmade, vintage, and really unique stuff, then this is the site for you!  We’ll be doing a lot of exciting new projects through Luella over the course of the year and we hope you’ll all stop by regularly.

Let us know what you think.  Thanks!

P.S.- I think we’re still stuffed from the holidays…  time for some new year’s resolutions…

Christmas Deadline

Ahh Christmas….  It can be the most wonderful and most stressful time of the year.  Especially when it comes to last minute shopping!  Pushing your way through the aisles of other frantic shoppers, crying kids, and abandoned carts.  Trying to find something special through row after row of shelves that seem to get more and more disorganized as the holiday gets closer.  In the end, after standing in line for what seems like forever, you hope that you picked the right gift and it was all worth it.

OR… you could avoid all of that, find stuff you won’t find in stores, and do your Christmas shopping online this year!

More and more shoppers are choosing to check off their Christmas lists from the comfort of their own home.  Sitting in your PJ’s, sipping a hot cup of coffee, and getting your shopping done without all the usual stresses is a wonderful way to make this holiday a breeze.

However, due to the high volume of mail that is distributed every holiday season, online shoppers need to finish their Christmas shopping a little bit earlier.  To guarantee that you receive your package before Christmas, we need to receive your order no later than December 13th! Any orders received after that date cannot be guaranteed, but we’ll still do our best to get them out as quickly as possible.

P.S. – If you’re still trying to figure out “that perfect gift” for someone this year, we highly recommend our popular custom photo pendants!

This morning we picked our 3 lucky winners of our 1st ever online drawing!

The lucky 3 are:

Angela Brotcke of Geneva, IL
Jill Nelson of W.DesMoines, IA
Amy Saksa of Fountain Valley, CA

These 3 lucky ladies will be receiving a $15.00 off code to use on any future purchase.  That’s almost 3 pendants!  Thank you ladies for being so supportive!

We have been so happy with the outcome of our little online shop.  Everyday it grows a little more and it is because of all our wonderful customers.  We wanted to find to say thank you and that’s when this idea came to us!

We will be doing little contests and give a ways here and there.  It’s just our way of saying THANK YOU for your support!

Hope you all have a beautiful and wonderful day!  :)

We first discovered Roz Fulcher’s crafty illustrations while searching for children’s books online.  Her “kid-approved” illustrations are made from felt, fabric, and embellishments–creating a neat look and feel that you don’t see anywhere else.  We knew right away that we wanted to see Roz’s art on our pendants!

A short while after contacting Roz we received a wonderful reply back, along with a few submissions.  We think these will make wonderful gifts for the little ones.  You can see the new pendants here!

All tuckered out...

All tuckered out...

Ever since we started Bite Size Jewelry we’ve received tons of positive feedback and lots of brilliant ideas.  We were so excited when we first started that we wanted to do a little bit of everything!  Necklaces, earrings, rings, charms, you name it, we wanted to try it out.  But, like they say, it takes money to make money and we couldn’t get all the stuff we wanted to right away.  So, we focused on what we knew best–scrabble pendants :)

We began by making designs ourselves, on our little Mac computer.  Lots of cute or witty stuff that we thought people would love.  Then we began reaching out to other artists and adding their artwork to the mix.  Soon all kinds of submissions started pouring in and we’re doing our best to release them all as quickly as we can!  Phew!

Between filling orders, making new pendants, sorting through submissions, and working longer hours at our outside jobs (plus raising 3 children) we’ve had our hands full!  But we love what we’re doing and want to keep on bringing you all the best stuff we can so keep checking back as we start to expand our little shop.

If you’ve been shopping on BiteSizeJewelry.com recently you may have noticed a pleasent surprise–we just lowered the prices on EVERYTHING in the store for the holidays!

Scrabble pendants are now $5.50 to $6.50 apiece, and custom photo pendants are only $15.00!

We still have some gift packaging left, and many more surprises around the corner so this is the perfect time to do all your Christmas shopping.  If you have any ideas, or special requests, please let us know.  We just might be able to help you out :)

Happy Shopping

A great example of Lizas wild artwork

A great example of Lizas wild artwork

Liza Schiltz has a fun collage-style art that seperates her from many other artists.  Her wild designs range from rose-wearing skeletons to retro-50’s era images.  We fell in love with her crazy style and we think you will too!

Here’s a short bio, from Liza herself:

My name is Liza Schiltz and I live in Belfast,Maine
I received a BFA in photography a few
years ago and although I still love to take pictures I really wanted to created images that only exist in my mind.

I worked in a professional digital print and graphics shop for
10 years where I learned about the magical world of photoshop
and the importance of good color printing.

I find inspiration everywhere, from a brief shot in a movie, a flower or a strangers outfit or a strange outfit, hmm…

I love combing seemingly unrelated images to create something that is kinda pretty, sorta funny and a bit creepy.

I always hope that the end result is a visual pun that at the very least puts a smile on the viewer’s face.

For more on Liza and her work please visit her shop, or check out her interesting blog :)

The first is Ching Teoh.  Her textured artwork has a very spiritual and inspiring style that appeals to many people.    Please let us know what you think!
